The H2S Safety Training course is designed for individuals who may be exposed to Hydrogen Sulfide gas in industrial environments. Participants should have a basic understanding of workplace safety and operations in sectors where hazardous gases may be present.

This course is particularly relevant for personnel working in oil and gas operations, wastewater treatment plants, utilities, and industrial facilities where H2S exposure risks exist.

No prior certification is required to enroll in this course.

After completing the H2S Safety Training – 1 Day Course, participants will be able to:

Module 2 – Physical and Chemical Characteristics
Color, odor, solubility, vapor density, flammability hazards, and corrosive properties.
Module 3 – Exposure Hazards and Health Effects
Short-term and long-term impacts of H2S on human health, including respiratory, neurological, and systemic effects.
Module 4 – Permissible Exposure Limits and Standards
Overview of OSHA permissible exposure limits, NIOSH standards, and industry safety practices.
Module 5 – Occurrence of H2S
Understanding where H2S can be found, including industrial environments and natural deposits.
Module 6 – H2S Detection Methods
Use of electric gas detectors and other detection techniques for early hazard identification.
Module 7 – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Basic PPE requirements, respiratory protection, and correct equipment usage in H2S environments.

This qualification is assessed through a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based examination.

Participants must demonstrate understanding of:

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, participants will receive an H2S Awareness Training Certificate and Wallet Card with a validity period of one year. Participants must complete a re-certification course after one year to maintain their qualification.
