Introduction

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management is a professional qualification designed for individuals who want to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of occupational health and safety management. This course is suitable for professionals who are already working in the occupational health and safety industry and want to advance their career .
Typically, this course is aimed at individuals such as health and safety managers, safety officers, safety consultants, safety engineers, safety inspectors, safety auditors, risk managers, occupational health professionals, or those who have significant responsibilities for health and safety management within their organization.

Qualification Structure

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

Entry Requirements

To enroll in the course, candidates should have :

• Level 6 qualification, such as the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or an equivalent Level 6 qualification or
• An honors degree (BSc)  with relevant experience and knowledge in the occupational health and safety field or
• Significant professional experience in the field of occupational health and safety
• The minimum age requirement for learners is 21 years old at the start of the course.

After completion of this course, learner should be able to:

• Analyze theoretical principles and legal frameworks of health and safety management
• Develop, implement and evaluate effective risk management strategies
• Develop, implement, and evaluate health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct and evaluate workplace risk assessments and implement controls
• Analyze and assess workplace hazards
• Implement strategies for improving employee health and well being
• Manage human factors and organizational culture’s impact on OHS performance
• Design and implement effective training programs for employees
• Lead and manage OHS teams and coordinate OHS activities across a range of functional areas.
• Apply appropriate techniques for investigating and reporting incidents
• Analyze and interpret occupational health and safety data for decision-making and continuous improvement in OHS management.
